PSU - look out for an 8 pin EPS Power cable 12 volt *

When you purchase a PSU it is best to get something powerful enough to support the items you could connect to your motherboard. In particular graphic cards (GPUs) need a fair amount of wattage.
Don't forget that new motherboards may require a 8 pin EPS Power cable 12 volt

This cable is very similar to a PCI EXPRESS ADAPTOR but it is not the same thing. You will also notice the layout of the connector is different. I needed this adaptor as the PSU did not have this connector. If you can find a PSU which includes the 8 pin EPS power connector that will avoid the need for this device.
You will find many of the latest motherboards require this ATX_12V power.
