The DP connection is using 4:4:4 so I get a very good picture. I find HDMI sub standard, colour depth for DP is 10 bpc and HDMI 8 bpc. My AVR does not have DP connections. This works well for me but has some drawbacks. With HDMI and DP video from my GPU (AMD RX480) Windows thinks I have two screens (which is fine), I don't need a second screen so I clone the two video outputs (via Windows) and I can forget that. As DP is v1.2 it does not support HDCP 2.2, am waiting for DP v1.4 for a new monitor and GPU card which supports DP v1.4 but at present are very rare and expensive. I have also used Optical to AVR but obviously that has limitations. Not sure this helps you in any way but works for me for now.</span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiJpZY8ASYYefkbNatZU5qQeDnv-011tiEljFs_Jgqu436XyTmMnIfyp9AIMD2NjvN4uo2x7wDnmlE1HK5w19oVGj_38plToizGz9UaIcIaiFP-qapSsBItNxPniMaTocIUif6cFDLa9-d/s2048/AMD+HDMI+res.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1215" data-original-width="2048" height="374" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiJpZY8ASYYefkbNatZU5qQeDnv-011tiEljFs_Jgqu436XyTmMnIfyp9AIMD2NjvN4uo2x7wDnmlE1HK5w19oVGj_38plToizGz9UaIcIaiFP-qapSsBItNxPniMaTocIUif6cFDLa9-d/w630-h374/AMD+HDMI+res.JPG" width="630" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Gfmi0x1Vss7bkxTgyIEjQxKe3ZrjijLiKhufW70hgxoUwSIjK7baRsDYM1wyzu1WFzvj9ajhE3BEmlrRjUt8Z0BRkeinKCeJ67WQntpZ72Vmm1j1LQHsZhtw40NsVx4JLQh0tudWPBTL/s2048/AMD+DP+res.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1216" data-original-width="2048" height="363" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_Gfmi0x1Vss7bkxTgyIEjQxKe3ZrjijLiKhufW70hgxoUwSIjK7baRsDYM1wyzu1WFzvj9ajhE3BEmlrRjUt8Z0BRkeinKCeJ67WQntpZ72Vmm1j1LQHsZhtw40NsVx4JLQh0tudWPBTL/w613-h363/AMD+DP+res.JPG" width="613" /></a></div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Windows 10 Sounds system.HDMI, Optical and analog audio connections<br /><br />

The Netgear RAX20 is a WiFi 6 device. Supports Wireless 2.4GHz b/g/n/ax and 5GHz a/n/ac/ax. So far this router has proved to be very capable and has cured the problems I had using Virgin Media HUB3. It caters for most of the requirements of a typical home. We are heavy networking users with 2 people working from home, forever watching NETFLIX in 4K and football matches via SKY and BT Sports. So far no issues but early days.

Happy to report all home has better WiFi coverage and much more stable. Best of all the dreaded Virgin Media hub has been relegated to modem mode. The frequent reboots of the VM router are no longer required, thankfully.</span></div><div><span color="rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)" face="Roboto, Noto, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div><div><span color="rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)" face="Roboto, Noto, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">My review on Amazon:</span></div><div><span color="rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)" face="Roboto, Noto, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div><div><span color="rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)" face="Roboto, Noto, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">The Netgear RAX20 is connected to a Virgin Media HUB3 (in Modem Mode), all working fine. The WiFi signal in the worst location went from 3mb/s to 35mb/s well pleased with that.
Using the NIGHTHAWK app on the phone to setup the router was up and running in about 20 minutes at most. Have about 20 devices connected without any problems. I will be providing a review on the web so google for it. I will post updates if any issues occur. Netflix Ultra HD 4K on a Windows 10 PC DRM 3.0
With many 4K titles available on NETFLIX it is time Windows 10 had the ability to play them in UHD.
Just an update. My NETFLIX on the PC has now stopped working. Have raised the issue with NETFLIX and AMD. Current HDCP status tab in Radeon drivers 18.10.1 has become disabled, tried many drivers since 18.4.1 but HDCP still disabled......not sure how to enable again. Any clues anyone. btw HDCP shows "enabled"
update 15/10/2018
I have managed to get NETFLIX to work in 4K in EDGE and Windows App once again.
I did a system restore which was dated 2nd Sep 2018 and it all burst into life. I was suspecting a windows update but I am thinking it is something else.
I watch in 4K for a while.
It is now broken once again. The only apps that changed since the system restore is AVAST updated itself and I reinstalled Chrome.
Also I launched SKY Sports Player which has CISCO VideoGuard protecting the video.... VIDEO GUARD stops working as soon as it detects apps that can take pictures (Paint, Snippet etc.). I am about to watch SPAIN v ENGLAND using SKY Sports Player so maybe I will uninstall Cisco VideoGuard later. I will post updates.
I was wondering if anyone else reported issues with Cisco VideoGuard (version 9.0.1.4396)
This basically proves the HW is all OK and this is a software issue.
Just had an update from Netflix Support saying they found a bug in the Windows 10 App that stops the app streaming in 4K UHD.
